Sailboats: Ocke
Mannerfelt started the OMD company by designing sailing boats. Ocke
was at younger years a keen sailboat racer in many different classes.
We are today mainly designing one-off sailboats to demanding clients
who are looking for an outstanding design and the very best performance.
Day-Tripper
Ocke Mannerfelt Design has developed a
new sailing boat to act as a
platform for research and testing of new ideas.
It incorporates a
lot of new ideas to enhance
performance and sail handling. The new
boat is called "Day-Tripper" and is a perfect
shorthanded daysailor
with a very comfor-
table cockpit.
After a request by the owner to a 62 foot sailing yacht, OMD
undertook the design of the entire interior. OMD did also supervise
the building and renovation of the yacht both in and out.
Rebuilt by Allmogebåtar association as an exact copy of a fishing
and transport boat in the Stockholm archipelago from the end of
the 19th begining of the 20th century. Ocke Mannerfelt Design was
commissioned to produce a CAD drawing of the hull and different
stability calculations based on mesurements from an old boat and
very old drawing.
